The Governor is the chief executive of the state whose function is to administer the laws of the state. One of the activities used to accomplish this function is the appointing of individuals to various state and local offices and the signing of grants and commissions. This series relates to gubernatorial appointments to state commissions and boards. It contains the appointment letters and correspondence offering recommendations for appointments to the various positions. A note on the legal foundation of the board or commission and a member list are also included.
